Strawberry Lollipop
Pink, spherical, cowboy-hat-topped lolly with genuine strawberry flavor. It came as part of a care package from my dear friends E.&R. This sweet baby brought a smile to my lips before it was even unwrapped. Thanks, guys!!!
Pumpkin Pop
Refreshing orange flavor. Not half bad coming from Bee International. I especially like the “textured” look resulting from the different shades of orange. And of course, I am ever a fan of decorating lollies with icing! (The features.)
Candy Corn Pop
Oh, gross! It’s supposedly candy corn flavored, but this thing is just plain NASTY! Tastes like feet… and is that a hair sticking out of the back?? Trashed!! 😯
Monkey Pop
Another lovely fruit punch flavor accented with icing.
(Pictured without the red bow.)
Watermelon Unicorn Pop
Delicious watermelon flavor, though it takes a while to really hit the palate. I probably would have given it a fourth star if it were any other shape. I’ll admit, I’m not much of a fan of the unicorn pops. (Please don’t read anything into that; they’re simply difficult to consume.)
Groovy Lollipop Bouquet
Peace signs and smileys in a lollipop bouquet. Assorted fruit flavors — strawberry, grape, orange, sour apple, and what sort of taste like blue raspberry and grapefruit (the yellow one).
Groovy Pops
These tiny little lollies are absolutely adorable! Oddly enough, the watermelon tasted like kiwi, yet the kiwi was actually sour apple. The orange was indeed orange, and the flavor was so clean and genuine, I could almost feel it sparkle on my tongue! (I suppose that’s why they call it ‘Twinkle Candy.’) 😉
60 Sucks
Present topper from my mother’s sixtieth birthday. Found ’em at The Party Store, and they taste just like the lollipops you get at the bank.
Flower Lollipops
I’m doing all three of these in a single post because they are virtually identical; the only difference lay in the coloring.
A very yummy fruit punch flavor, with a dab of icing in the center that I quite enjoyed. They actually lost a star due to a flaw in the design; each of the three broke vertically in two before I was halfway finished.
The red one isn’t pictured because I somehow managed to lose the image. 😦
Strawberry Wedge Pop
Pleasant-tasting lollipop with a light strawberry flavor. The “seeds” have been printed on the packaging rather than the candy.
Groovy Pops
Grape
Light, sweet grape flavor without any offensive aftertaste — which is all too common with artificial grape flavoring! Not quite so pretty as the other Groovy Pops.
Butterfly Bouquet
Similar to the Floral Lollipop Bouquet, only with fewer flavors and sans the dots of icing. The flavors seem to be lemonade, pink lemonade, and sour apple, respectively.
Rock Candy
Blue Raspberry
Sharp and clean sugary taste; not much “berry” about it (though I’m not complaining!)
Strawberry
Tastes exactly the way strawberry potpourri smells. Welcoming at first (if only for the nostalgia), but it quickly turns a little… bizarre. (In other words, it tastes like Epcot Center’s World Showcase and my backpack from the ninth grade.)
Orange Doughnut Lollipop
Tasted exactly the same as the Target ice cream lolly, only with the addition of sprinkles. Orange and cream — more orangey than cream. I don’t quite get the association between orange cream and doughnuts, but then again, I’m not much of an expert on doughnuts. (Just lollipops! :-D)
Bazooka Candy Pops
The cherry tastes just like a throat lozenge, which is great if you have a sore throat — which I currently do not. And is the light menthol flavor actually coming from the lollipop, or is it merely in my head? One star.
The grape isn’t nearly as bad — a little bit cough syrupy (am I sensing a theme here?), but I suppose that’s okay. After all, Coca-Cola saw its beginnings in a drugstore. One and a half stars.
Apple… OMG IT TASTES LIKE VOMIT!! D-: One star.
orange… I’m sorry, but I can’t continue. (One star.)
I can’t speak for the lemon, because it wasn’t available. I’m sure it tasted magnificent though… ::rolls eyes::
Very disappointing, especially since I happen to be a huge fan of Bazooka bubble gum. (I can only assume there is a small blob in the center.) Just WTF were they thinking, putting these things on the market?! I had to gargle with SALT WATER to get rid of the awful taste!!
